Cilantro Lime Rice

Rice is a staple for many cultures. Cilantro Lime Rice is a staple for my bloodstream. It is easy to make, packed with flavor, and can go with all kinds of dishes. This is also the foundation to making a great buddha bowl!




Ingredients:

1 cup Cooked Basmati or Jasmine Rice

1/4 cup Cilantro finely chopped

1 Lemon or lime

Lets get cooking


1. Cook the rice following this recipe: Ultimate Basmati Rice


2. In a bowl add the zest of 1 lemon or lime to 1 cup of rice **adding the zest while the rice is still hot will help release the oils from the zest and make it more fragrant and absorb well into the rice!


3. Let the rice cool for a couple of minutes, then add a pinch of salt, cilantro, and the juice of ½ a lime or lemon to the rice


5. Mix the ingredients in the bowl until thoroughly combined and it is ready to serve
